Creativity and Innovation in Singapore Schools
In 2022, I was honored to receive the Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching, conducting STEAM-based research in Singapore from January to June. Sponsored through IREX and Singapore’s Ministry of Education, the project explored how creativity, arts integration, and student empowerment can be nurtured within holistic and multidisciplinary learning environments.
During my time abroad, I worked closely with faculty and students at:
- Singapore School of the Arts (SOTA)
- Pei Hwa Secondary School
- Changkat Changi Secondary School
I also studied with internationally renowned performance artist Tang Da Wu at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. As a guest teaching artist, I collaborated with LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and Singapore School of the Arts.
While in Asia, I also traveled to Vietnam and Indonesia, deepening my engagement with regional arts and culture.
